Brushed vs sandblasted aluminium profiles: how each mechanical finish is produced, how they differ in appearance and corrosion performance, and which one to specify for architectural, outdoor or decorative extrusions.
Every extrusion quotation rests on one number: aluminium profile weight per metre. Price per kilogram, freight class and the load
Streaks, banding and colour variation after anodizing are usually blamed on the die or the anodising line. In most cases the cause is upstream, in the cast billet. A practical guide to billet homogenization and anodizing quality for extrusion buyers.
